Wide open space, big house, no people, no music… and I don’t feel alone. Why? Because Jesus Christ is here. Honestly, its midnight, its dark, there is no noise in my house right now, but yet I’m content in him. Its worth giving up sin and dieing to myself for this. There has been times where I’m completely alone in my house, and at 3AM wake up.. its so dark and quiet and I yell…

JESUS I LOVE YOU!! THANK YOU LORD THAT YOU ARE WITH ME!! with tears running down my face.

Powerful… its so great to never be alone again no matter where I am or what I’m doing. In the world they are scared to live by themselves. Vulnerable and they have to be forced to hear what their own heart is saying. The world hates quietness.. but in this quietness is where I hear the Lord’s voice the most clearly.. Jesus is awesome.. He is always there when you call.

My sister had a child and out of a sense of duty I wanted to go visit the new child. This looked right, but in fact, there was a twist to the situation. She planned to have friends over for a meal. These friends drink together with my sister and husband. Therefore, I’d be shoved into a corner like I have been in the past and not be able to really connect with my sister. The friends would be blocks to coming closer with my sister. I will wait on the Lord and have him send me when the time is right.

This happens in many situations. God will test you and see if you will trust and wait on him until the time is right. Wait on him and he will reward you. In this case, I believe the next time I see my sister her heart will be open and I will really be able to connect with her. This will be the reward for waiting on the Lord.
Even if the situation looks good on the outside, doesn’t mean it is. TEST all things and wait on the Lord.

Serving is soooo important.  God said we are to become servants to ALL.  One of the biggest problems with Christians is this — REBELLION.  Myself included.  A lot of people wonder why their bosses are so horrible to them, or the cops are currupt, or the leaders are just awful people.  They then judge these people and no longer serve them.  This is WRONG.  We need to submit to all authorities.  We need to Serve, Serve, Serve.  I’ve been in some really crappy situations where the authorities above me have been completely unjust, and when I rebel.. I get angry, my authority gets angrier.. etc.. its bad.  But when the authority goes haywire and is completely unjust to me..  and yet I submit and do my best regardless.  I get BLESSED… I mean REALLY BLESSED.  When someone offends you, BLESS THEM BACK.  Don’t judge them, get angry, pout, and slander their name to everyone you have access to.  SUBMIT, SERVE, and BE BLESSED.  Its good training to die to your pride and flesh. 

While we were in worship last week at church the Lord spoke to me.

“One cup of my joy is greater than all of the hatred and anger in the world.”

We often see the anger and hatred in the world, and fear it. The Lord wants us to know that his joy is greater and stronger than anything the world can deal to us. Lets seek him more and find out just how powerful his joy is.
